THE STAFFORD LEGACY PROJECT

The Stafford Legacy Preservation Center
A project of The Stafford Knot, Inc
Preserving History.
Protecting Collections.
Sharing the Legacy.
The first permanent Preservation Center dedicated to the history of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier in North America.
OUR MISSION
The Stafford Legacy Preservation Center is being created to collect, preserve, restore, archive and share the history of one of the world’s most beloved breeds.
More than simply a museum, it will serve as a working preservation center where historical collections are cataloged, digitized, researched and protected before being shared with future generations.
The Center will feature rotating exhibits, rare books, artwork, historic photographs, memorabilia, educational displays and a Black Country-inspired community beer garden for events, lectures and fellowship.
Phase One
Building the Preservation Center
Before history can travel, it must first be preserved.
The Center will become the archival headquarters of The Stafford Legacy Project, where collections can be professionally organized, photographed, digitized, researched, and displayed.
This permanent home will also serve as the workshop where future traveling exhibits are designed and assembled.
Phase Two
The Stafford Legacy Tour
Once the Preservation Center is established and the collection has grown, the next step is creating The Stafford Legacy Tour.
The Tour will bring carefully curated exhibits to specialties, dog shows, festivals, educational events, and communities throughout North America, making Stafford history accessible to people who may never have the opportunity to visit the museum.
Rather than replacing the Center, the Tour will extend its reach, sharing the collection with enthusiasts across the country while inspiring future generations to appreciate the breed’s rich heritage.
