A Place for Dogs, People, Learning and Community

Set beneath the Cascade Mountains in Central Oregon, Wave-M Acres is being thoughtfully developed as a welcoming place for dog lovers to gather, learn, compete, create and give back.

As an extension of The Stafford Legacy Project, the property will support breed education, preservation, responsible dog ownership and meaningful community connection. While the Staffordshire Bull Terrier remains an important part of our story, Wave-M Acres is being created for the wider dog community.

Our vision is simple: build a flexible, beautiful and practical space where people and dogs can do more together.

What We Are Creating

Wave-M Acres is a developing dog-event and community venue designed to accommodate a wide variety of activities, including:

• Dog shows and breed-related events
• Scent work/nose work
• Obedience and rally
• Fast CAT and other running activities
• Barn hunt and instinct-based sports
• Training classes, workshops and seminars
• Puppy development and enrichment sessions

The property’s open spaces, agricultural setting, wildflower pollinator gardens and views of the Cascade Mountains also offer a beautiful natural setting for canine photography, club gatherings and outdoor events.

A Dedicated Canine Enrichment Space

One of the central features planned for Wave-M Acres is a dedicated canine enrichment building.

This space will be designed to encourage curiosity, confidence and thoughtful problem-solving through:

• Scent-search activities
• Puzzle and food-based enrichment
• Movable search stations
• Wall-mounted scent and exploration features
• Low platforms and varied surfaces
• Confidence-building exercises
• Puppy and young-dog development
• Senior-dog and low-impact activities

The enrichment building will provide a controlled environment where dogs can use their noses, bodies and minds in ways that are safe, engaging and adaptable to individual needs.

It will also create opportunities for trainers, instructors and dog clubs to offer small classes, private sessions and educational demonstrations.

A Home for Dog Events in Central Oregon

Finding appropriate dog-event venues can be difficult. Clubs and instructors often need space that is flexible, affordable and genuinely understands the practical needs of dogs and their handlers.

Wave-M Acres is being planned with those needs in mind.

Depending on the event, the property may be able to support outdoor rings, scent-search areas, training fields, gathering areas, temporary event equipment, vendor spaces and educational displays.

Our goal is not to become a large commercial event complex. The goal is to create a thoughtful, personal venue where well-organized dog activities can take place in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Supporting The Stafford Legacy Project

The Stafford Legacy Project was created to preserve history, share knowledge and recognize the people, dogs and contributions that have shaped the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Wave-M Acres expands that mission by providing a physical setting where education and community can happen in person.

The property may host Stafford-related educational events, historical displays, preservation activities, fundraising gatherings, judges’ education, mentoring opportunities and special events connected to the Legacy Project.

At the same time, the broader venue will welcome clubs, trainers and organizations from throughout the dog community.
